Enjoy a Childhood Favorite!
I remember coloring as a child and loved seeing all the colors come together to create beautiful pictures. Now as adults, there seems to be a raging wave of enthusiasm that is sweeping the world to relax so many stressed out people. Everywhere you look on the internet or in the stores, adult coloring books are grabbing our attention and come with a huge variety of colored pencil types as well.
Since this has been so overwhelmingly successful, I am having a coloring book created for my Native American time travel romance Surrender series. Inside you're going to find pictures of bear, mountains, Native American warriors, butterlies and so many more pictures. Above is the beginning of one. I've seen a few that have been created and you're going to enjoy my book as well. I can't wait for it to be released to the world and watch what happens.
Some of you may have heard that I'm also creating a candle to go along with the Surrender series to tie into the scents in the books like pine trees, the smell of a campfire, sage, berries, and leather. The company is Book Scents and the owner has already done candles for several series books such as Black Dagger Brotherhood and Outlander, naming the candles after the characters! Be sure to visit the site and check out all of her options. There are candles, tarts, wax melts, and tins. The company created samples just for my book and sent me four different scents to choose from. I thought it would be easy to make a choice and I couldn't have been more wrong! Each scent smelled better than the previous one and I'm now remelting them to test a second time. I love them all, so this won't be easy. I hope when the candle is finished, you'll grab a sample for yourself. It will remind you of the story and places that Kate, Taima and Brandon visited in the book. My newsletter subscribers find out most things first before I release new stuff to FaceBook and Twitter. Please subscribe if you haven't done so already.
Back to the coloring books. One of our employees just bought me a coloring book and pencils! Is she trying to tell me I need a stress relieving activity? I thought my writing did that for me, but maybe not! Perhaps I will give coloring a try. Are many of you also enjoying this again? What do you enjoy most about it now that you're an adult? Where are you buying your books? At the store or online? Share with us so we can chat about it below! Thanks for stopping in.
